The Large Loss Estimator will regularly handle complex commercial and residential losses in excess of $75k. Estimate losses using Xactimate and sub-contractors pricing.

• 3+ years of experience writing large loss commercial and residential estimates over 75k.
• Xactimate certification(s)
• Proficient in Xactimate (X1 preferred)
• Experience with DASH
• Ability to work independently/problem solve.
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Increase efficiency and communication during large losses with all involved parties.
• Establish consistent weekly communication to client, insurance carrier and all relevant third parties through regular reporting.
• Establish a process for handling complex losses with multiple parties and implement process within 60 days.
• Increased understanding of how to settle complex claims with multiple carriers and parties.
• Standardize presentation of large loss estimates.
• Elevate the transfer of a large loss mitigation project to structure/reconstruction team.
• Establish a standardized expectation of time frames for estimate preparation based upon size and complexity of loss.
• Clarify roles and responsibilities with all parties involved with a claim.
• Bring a knowledge and ability to understand and incorporate blueprints, engineer reports and expert opinions in the creation of an estimate.
• Develop relationships with large loss adjusters and consultants.
• Develop relationships with commercial and large loss residential sub-contractors capable of providing services on larger losses.
• Present MEP scopes in Xactimate estimate using line items to better improve margins.

• Embrace company culture and collaborate with large loss team to raise the bar on the execution of large loss estimates and repairs.
